AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations. Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”. In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.

Job Summary

• Under the guidance of the EPI Senior Officer, the EPI supervisors will have the overall responsibility of effective supervision of vaccination in targeted districts and health facilities (HFs)
• The supervisor spends most of his/her time in the field overseeing the service providers to ensure the quality of EPI services provided;
• Providing quality and timely reports to his/her supervisor;
• Develop a monthly action plan for the improvement of the gaps observed in the HFs in coordination with the Senior Office and provide on-the-job to vaccinators as per need;
• Support the vaccinators in preparing their monthly fixed and outreach activities; 
• Meeting regularly with beneficiaries, community leaders and health shuras to ensure program effectiveness and community awareness of project services;

The AADA Jobs in Herat, (EPI Supervisor) - ( 6 Vacancies ) will have responsibilities that include:

• Ensure proper vaccination commodities management of HFs, including consumption, supplies, stocks etc.
• Ensuring the cold chain is maintained during transportation as well as in the HFs
• Identify and report immediately any program or administrative problems that may interfere with achieving program objectives.
• Any other tasks given by the supervisor

Job Requirment

• Graduate from recognize Medical College (MD) or certified nurse
• At least 2 years of experience in related field is required.
• Proficiency in computer applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote health facilities and villages;
• Fluency in written and spoken local languages; 
• Knowledge of local environment
