The Application/AI Developer will have responsibilities that include:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance internal applications and enterprise systems to support organizational needs.
• Build and maintain APIs, web-based platforms, database architectures, and related software components.
• Contribute to software testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML models, predictive solutions, analytical dashboards, and intelligent tools to address business requirements.
• Integrate AI capabilities with banking applications, enterprise systems, databases, and data processing pipelines.
• Design and implement automation solutions, including RPA bots, scripts, and automated workflows, to streamline operational processes.
• Assess existing business processes and identify suitable opportunities for automation and intelligent optimization.
• Manage the complete AI model lifecycle, including development, deployment, performance monitoring, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure that applications and AI solutions meet required standards for scalability, reliability, performance, availability, and security.
• Work closely with business units and stakeholders to understand requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and deliver effective outcomes.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable AI/ML infrastructure, computing environments, and application stacks capable of supporting enterprise-level workloads.
• Partner with business and technical teams to design, implement, and operationalize AI-driven solutions aligned with institutional objectives.
• Develop practical AI use cases, proof-of-concepts, and demonstrations, while conducting workshops and training sessions to encourage effective adoption of AI technologies.
• Research, evaluate, and implement industry best practices across artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, advanced analytics, and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain AI architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, technical standards, and standard operating procedures for AI solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and expert consultation on AI standards, methodologies, architectures, and industry best practices.
• Continuously monitor developments in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies and assess their potential to strengthen institutional capabilities.
• Design, train, validate, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and improve existing products, services, and processes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to develop, integrate, and deploy AI solutions.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify meaningful patterns, trends, relationships, and insights that can inform AI model development and business decision-making.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate AI applications, evaluate approaches, and refine machine learning models and techniques before production deployment.
• Develop, automate, and maintain reliable AI/ML pipelines for moving models from development and experimentation environments into production.
• Research and adopt relevant advancements in AI and machine learning frameworks, methodologies, tools, and technologies to improve existing capabilities.
• Integrate AI-driven functionality into existing software applications and enterprise systems to enhance operational efficiency, system capabilities, and user experience.
• Perform any other duties or assignments related to the role as directed by the line manager.

Job Requirment

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree will be given preference.
• Relevant professional certifications in IT, software development, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines are an advantage.

Relevant Experience:

• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience, or at least three years of IT experience within the banking sector.
• Practical familiarity with banking software, financial technology platforms, and related enterprise applications.
• Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning concepts, and their practical applications.
• Proven experience in software development and application engineering.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of API concepts, particularly RESTful APIs, system integration, and service-to-service communication.
• Good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Practical understanding of AI models and their application in real-world business environments.
• Ability to integrate and apply AI models within business processes, particularly banking applications such as mobile banking platforms, digital wallets, and related financial services.
• Strong awareness of scalability, application performance, reliability, and security throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Sound understanding of networking fundamentals and core network concepts.
• Strong knowledge of modern web application technologies, architectures, and development practices.
• Good understanding of database management systems, with practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Good understanding of IT security principles, application security, data protection, and secure software development practices.
• Familiarity with .NET Core is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to a culture of knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous improvement.
