Key responsibilities of Cashier - Nangarhar (Jalalabad):
- Cash Management & Till Maintenance: Maintain an adequate and secure cash position within the assigned cash box throughout operating hours.
- Transaction Scrutiny & Document Verification: Examine provided transaction vouchers, deposit slips, and withdrawal documents to ensure complete accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with internal banking controls.
- Counterfeit Detection & Currency Inspection: Inspect all physical banknotes thoroughly using standard detection procedures to identify and prevent counterfeit currency from entering the bank's system.
- Customer Verification & Authentication: Verify customer identities against valid identification documents and carefully match signatures against registered authorized signature records before processing transactions.
- Daily Balancing & Reconciliation: Balance daily cash transactions accurately at the end of each business day according to standard operational procedures.
- End-of-Day Closure & Physical Counting: Perform precise physical cash counts at the end of the working day to ensure exact reconciliation for daily closure.
- Operational Backup: Serve as a reliable backup to the Head Cashier when required, supporting broader branch cash management duties.
Job Requirment
- Education: High School Graduation (12th grade completion) is required; higher education (Diploma or Bachelorās degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics) is preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience as a Cashier, Teller, or Cash Management Officer in a commercial bank or financial institution.
- Banking System Proficiency: Familiarity with modern core banking software particularly the FLEXCUBE system is a distinct advantage.
- Data Entry & Technical Skills: Fast and accurate keyboarding/data entry skills, with a high degree of precision in handling numerical figures.
- Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Pashto, Dari, and English.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and customer-service skills, along with high operational flexibility and attention to detail.
