AADA was founded in 2005 with the main aim of providing quality health and social services, professional capacity building, and promotion of equal access of communities to developmental and humanitarian services. AADA also responds to the needs of the Afghan people in accordance with the principles and fundamentals of civil society organizations. Quality improvement, geographic expansion, diversification of funding, institutional development, gender equity, women empowerment and community development are among the main strategic directions reflected in the “AADA Strategic Plan”. In its long life AADA has operated in 33 provinces of Afghanistan and has successfully implemented more than 125 health and health-related projects, including 28 education/capacity development projects. AADA is a multi-donor funded organization in partnership with the Government of Afghanistan and other international donors including USAID, World Bank, Global Fund and UN agencies.

Job Summary

• Under direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the supervisors will be responsible for regular supervision of CBNP implementation at the health post (HP) level;
• Assessing the CBNP implementation phase status at HPs in the province;
• Identifying the health post with poor CBNP implementation and supporting quality service delivery along with conducting supportive supervision;
• Development of the improvement plan in close coordination with the PPHD provincial nutrition officer and AADA HER project staff and follow-up of the action and sharing the results with UNICEF and PND;
• Oversee and support WIFS and MNP implementation in Herat province to ensure quality delivery of services through community-based networks such as health shura members, CHWs, CHS and community volunteers.

The CBNP supervisors - ( 8 Vacancies ) will have responsibilities that include:

• Meet regularly with health shuras, community leaders and other stakeholders, to ensure project effectiveness and community involvement in decisions regarding the CBNP;
• Involve respective communities and local authorities in CBNP, WIFS and MNP and ensure their engagement in the house-to-house campaign of IFA and MNP distribution to adolescent girls and children respectively;
• Prepare accurate reports according to project objectives and submission timely;
• Identify and report immediately any program or administrative problems that may interfere with achieving program objectives.

Job Requirment

• Medical professionals, bachelor in social science or education 
• At least one year of experience in supervision and CBNP implementation or other fields relevant to community-based activities such as CBHC
• This is a couple’s job for male and female couples who are either married or have mahram shar'ee relations that possess the required qualifications
•  Strong communication skills, with reasonable written and spoken English
