The Community/Forestry NRM/Trainer/Forestry Field Technicians (Re Announced) will have responsibilities that include:

The Afghanistan Centre for Training and Development (ACDO) is establishing a qualified roster of technical experts for its upcoming Community-based Climate-Responsive Livelihoods, Forestry, and Rangeland Management Project in Kunar Province. This intervention aims to empower rural communities against climate risks by enhancing local livelihoods, promoting sustainable forestry and rangeland governance, and rehabilitating community assets.

Candidates included in the roster will be considered for immediate deployment across technical, managerial, field training, monitoring, and engineering positions upon final project activation and funding clearance.

Core Objectives & Scope of Work:

• Natural Resource & Forestry Management: Facilitate community-led initiatives for sustainable rangeland preservation, reforestation, and natural resource conservation in targeted districts of Kunar.
• Capacity Building & Training: Conduct technical workshops and field-level training for local community members on climate adaptation strategies and climate-resilient livelihood practices.
• Community Engagement & Asset Rehabilitation: Mobilize local populations to participate in natural resource governance and oversee the rehabilitation of community environmental assets.
• Monitoring & Operational Support: Assist technical and engineering teams in field data collection, progress verification, and monitoring of forestry interventions.

Job Requirment

Job Requirements & Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with national or international NGOs (NNGOs/INGOs) in forestry, natural resource management, or rural community development.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in conducting capacity-building workshops, facilitating community consultations, managing grievance mechanisms, and promoting gender inclusion.

Skills & Core Competencies:

• Field Adaptability: Proven capability to operate effectively in remote, rugged, and challenging field environments across Kunar Province.
• Communication & Coordination: Strong interpersonal skills with fluency in local languages (Pashto and Dari) and working proficiency in English (for reporting and central coordination).
• Analytical & Reporting Skills: Proficiency in field data collection, verification, narrative report writing, and operational problem-solving.

• District Monitoring & Field Verification: Timely submission of verified field data and regular district-level progress reports.
• Target Achievement: Meeting district-level operational benchmarks while ensuring strict compliance with donor and organizational standards.
