The Credit Officer will have responsibilities that include:

    Duties & Key Responsibilities:

    1. Client Acquisition & Business Growth: Actively identify and acquire potential financing clients in alignment with the bank's operational targets and risk appetite across Microfinance, SME, and Corporate sectors.
    2. Needs Analysis & Solution Matching: Assess client financial needs and structure suitable financing products and services that meet organizational and regulatory guidelines.
    3. Credit Appraisal & Risk Assessment: Perform comprehensive credit appraisals and collateral evaluations in strict compliance with internal bank policies, risk management standards, and Sharia rulings.
    4. Documentation & Legal Verification: Gather and verify all necessary supporting documents and evidence required for loan appraisal and approval.
    5. Inter-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—including legal experts and property appraisers—to secure legal opinions, evaluate collateral, and finalize mortgage procedures.
    6. Portfolio Quality & Risk Mitigation: Maintain a high-quality credit portfolio by strictly vetting applications to prevent delinquencies and non-performing loans (NPLs).
    7. Branch Manager Collaboration: Work closely with the Branch Manager to vet, discuss, and fulfill all operational and credit approval requirements.
    8. Relationship Management & Market Monitoring: Maintain continuous engagements with clients, monitoring their business performance and relevant market trends that could impact repayment capacities.
    9. Cross-Selling Services: Actively promote and cross-sell additional bank products and financial services to existing and prospective financing clients.
    10. Post-Disbursement Follow-Up: Conduct regular post-disbursement reviews and follow-ups to ensure proper fund utilization and timely repayments.
    11. Additional Assignments: Execute supplementary tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management line.

Job Requirment

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Islamic Banking from a recognized university. (Candidates holding a Master’s degree will be given preference).
    • Specialized Knowledge: Academic or professional certificates in Islamic Banking and Sharia-compliant finance are highly preferred.

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of direct professional experience in credit analysis, customer relationship management, debt recovery, or loan collection within commercial banks or recognized financial institutions.

    Required Skills & Technical Competencies:

    • Financial Analysis: Sound understanding of accounting practices, balance sheets, and financial statement evaluation.
    • Proposal Writing: Strong capability in drafting comprehensive credit proposals and financing appraisals.
    • Software & Management: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), excellent time management, and strong interpersonal and people management skills.
