Job Summary

• Attend a full course of CLTS training at the central or/and provincial level, as well as any other relevant training/s
•  Pre-triggering appointment with the target communities’ CDCs and representatives
•   Hold introduction session and rapport building with the villagers
•  Implement triggering session with the villagers and going through all the required steps as per the guideline 
•  Undertake transect walk jointly with the participants (villagers) to assess the sanitation situation of the communities 
•  Undertake mapping exercise  
•  Facilitate community action plan with the villagers 
•   Establish CLTS committees and train them in hygiene behavior change
•  Undertake post triggering (follow up) of the communities which are triggered 
•   Baseline and endline data collection 
•  Effective use of IEC materials in the target villages, its distribution to the FHAGs and CHWs and its follow up
•  Establishment of mothers group and their training in hygiene behavior change 
•  Follow up from the activities of mothers groups 
•  Conduct community hygiene awareness and sanitary campaigns
•  School triggering located in the catchment of the target district 

The CTG Jobs in Nangarhar, (CLTS Facilitator Couple) will have responsibilities that include:

•  Provide technical advice to the villagers in building sanitary latrine 
•  Provide support during emergency for the areas which are located out of the scope of CLTS
•  Declare 30 – 40 communities ODF/duration of the contract (number of communities depend on the geography)
•  Record day to day progress made by villagers in their village and reporting to his/her supervisor
• Project reporting
•   CLTS and relevant trainings attended
•  CDC met, appointed fixed 
•  lntroduction session took place, rapport built with the villagers 
•   Triggering conducted and people ignited to stop OD
•  Joint transect walk held
•  Community mapping undertook 
•   Community action plan developed 
•   CLTS committee members identified and trained in hygiene 
•  Required number of post triggering took place 
•   Baseline and endline data collected and filed 
•  Required IEC materials utilized as per the guidance 
•   Mothers group established and trained in hygiene 
•  The activities of mothers groups followed up 
•  Sanitation campaigns conducted in each target community 
•   Triggering took place in target schools (at least 3)
•   Technical advise on the construction of improved toilets provided to the villagers
•   Emergency response provided wherever and whenever needed
•  30 – 40 communities declared ODF 
•   Progress reported on weekly and monthly basis

Job Requirment

• The CLTS Facilitator should be able to easily read and write
• Minimum of one year of experience working with communities
• Experience in hygiene and sanitation and mobilization
• Very good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to speak in big gatherings and interact very smoothly and politely
• The candidate should be very polite and patient
• Skills to convince other
• Must be able to communicate well in local languages
