The Plumbing Technician will have responsibilities that include:

1) Technical Operations & Maintenance:

• Maintain and service hot and cold water systems, tanks, pumps, valves, pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures.
• Repair water leaks, damaged pipework, and blocked drainage or sewer lines.
• Conduct pressure and leakage tests and inspect systems for corrosion, blockages, and damage.
• Maintain toilets, washbasins, faucets, drains, wastewater systems, and sanitary fixtures.
• Respond to flooding and emergency water leakage incidents.
• Maintain fire-water systems, including hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, valves, and tanks.
• Ensure plumbing modifications do not affect fire-protection systems.
• Maintain plumbing tools, spare parts, and safe working areas.

2) Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Follow and enforce safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Work with management to ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirment

• Diploma or technical certificate in plumbing, water supply, mechanical systems, or a related field.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree will be considered an advantage.

Professional Experience

• 3–5 years of practical experience in plumbing and water supply system maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with domestic water systems, pumps, valves, pipes, fittings, and sanitary equipment.
• Experience working in commercial facilities, hospitals, banks, or similar environments is preferred.

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Able to handle emergency maintenance requests and work outside normal hours when necessary.
• Basic proficiency in English and computer use.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of hot and cold water systems, water storage tanks, booster pumps, valves, and pipework.
• Practical knowledge of PPR, HDPE, PVC, GI, and other plumbing materials.
• Capable of locating and repairing leaks, drainage blockages, damaged pipes, valves, and sanitary fixtures.
• Familiarity with fire-water systems, including hydrants, hose reels, sprinkler networks, valves, and fire-water tanks.
• Effective communication, teamwork, coordination, and reporting abilities.
• Knowledge of HSE standards and safe work procedures.
