Job Summary
- Ensure all procurement procedures are performed in compliance with ASLO Policy, Guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure and maintain a full and transparent procurement process.
- Ensure all procurement requests are prioritized and items are procured in a timely manner.
- Ensure all procurement documentation are recorded and records kept in a well-organized manner.
- Ensure all suppliers are paid in a timely manner in coordination with the Finance Dept.
- Ensure the Procurement Tracking Report is updated.
- Conducts survey of the local market and verifies reasonableness of the prices.
- Act as member of the ASLO Afghanistan Procurement Committee.
- Management, revision and implementation of ASLO Procurement procedures in line with ASLO policy.
The Procurement and Logistics Officer will have responsibilities that include:
- Ensure assets are entered into asset list/database.
- Ensure all assets are labelled and asset movement is recorded in asset list
- Ensure all inventory items are labelled and movement is recorded in inventory list
- Ensure consistent coordination as delegated by Line Manager on Procurement support.
- Report all Procurement constraints / issues to Line Manager.
- Maintain a solid understanding of all ASLO financial rules and regulations, as laid down in the Field Manual and other official documentation, and acts in accordance with these.
- Pro-actively provides advice to Management on areas of suggested improvement in overall operational functions and internal office issues.
- Any other assignment that can reasonably be asked by ASLO management.
Job Requirment
- Bachelor’s degree in business/commerce, logistics, procurement or any other relevant fields.
- Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible procurement experience.
- Excellent command of the English language: verbal and oral.
- Great time management skills.
