Green Afghanistan Agriculture and Livestock Organization (GAALO) is a non-government, non-political and non-profit organization. The organization is established in 2006 and registered with ministry of economy since 2009.
GAALO is committed to identify new and innovative approaches to meet the needs of its target groups. Our work focuses on identifying the most critical and challenging problems, develop successful strategies, build effective institutions and create efficient delivery mechanisms. We base our programs on facts and data, not mere assumptions.
Job Summary
- The incumbent shall perform under the direct supervision of Program Manager and work in close collaboration with GAALO Program Department.
- The Project manager will be involved in preparing the project plans and reports; ensuring effective relationship with donor and GAALO program team; managing the project staff, keeping proper filing and documentation of the project related interventions, keeping efficient coordination and ad-hoc mechanism with project stakeholders including department of economy, clusters and local government.
- His/her specific responsibilities are as below:
- The project manager is responsible for the overall project activities (Coordination with stakeholders, reporting, monitoring and supervision.
- Lead and supervise all administrative, technical, and operational activities of a fully functioning project
- Participate in project meetings/conferences on behalf of GAALO.
The Project Manager - Khawst will have responsibilities that include:
- Closely monitor project activities and report any discrepancies to the Program Manager
- Ensure that all project interventions are delivered on-time, within scope and approved budget.
- Organize and deliver orientation sessions on the project requirements and lead the team for better achievement of the project gaols.
- Maintaining proper communication with the donor and other stakeholders.
- Putting in place proper ad-hoc and coordination mechanics at community level
- Help the project team in identification, selection and verification of Beneficiaries
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- The Project Manager Duty station will be in Khost with frequent visits to project locations (around Khost).
- Perform any other duties delegated by the supervisor/senior staff.

- Ability to speak, read, and write English and Pashto/Dari.
