Key responsibilities of Security Guards:
- Cash Transportation & Distribution Security: Provide protective escort and security coverage during physical cash transit and beneficiary distribution activities.
- Crowd Control & Safety Protocols: Assist field teams in managing beneficiary flow, controlling crowds, and enforcing health, hygiene, and emergency safety protocols on site.
- Project Site Protection: Deliver comprehensive security services across all operational phases and field sites during project implementation.
- Field Office Security Management: Guard GAALO field offices and facilities, ensuring access control, perimeter security, and safeguarding of organizational assets.
- Operational Support: Perform additional security and protective duties assigned by supervisors or senior management.
Job Requirment
- Language Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in both Pashto and Dari.
- Work Under Pressure: Demonstrated capacity to maintain composure, high performance, and rapid decision making under challenging or high pressure situations.
- Physical Fitness: Strong physical endurance and health required to fulfill field patrolling and protective duties effectively.
- Core Skills & Competencies:
- Communication: Strong ability to exchange clear information with colleagues, beneficiaries, and visitors.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous observation skills to identify safety risks, unauthorized entry, or unusual activities.
- Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Sound judgment to assess security situations and respond appropriately.
- Customer Service & Interpersonal Relations: Polite and respectful attitude when interacting with community members, beneficiaries, and staff.
- Teamwork: Excellent spirit of collaboration to support field operations and line supervisors.
