The Senior Finance Officer will have responsibilities that include:

• The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, compliance with organizational and donor requirements, and timely financial reporting. The role supports budgeting, accounting, payments, reconciliations, payroll processes, and financial documentation while maintaining high accounting standards.
• Key responsibilities include preparing financial reports, managing payments and cash flow, monitoring financial records, supporting audits, maintaining proper documentation, and coordinating with banks and internal departments. The position also contributes to procurement processes, cash transfer activities, and overall financial compliance.
• The role requires strong attention to detail, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to safeguarding policies, including child protection standards.

Job Requirment

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Candidates with ACCA qualifications (minimum completion of nine papers) are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in finance and possess strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work effectively under pressure, manage priorities, and collaborate with different teams is essential.

Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with computerized accounting systems. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach are highly valued.

Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, along with a good command of English, is required. Candidates should also be willing to travel within Afghanistan when needed.

Previous experience working with NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies, or humanitarian and emergency-response programs will be considered an advantage.
