DACAAR is a non governmental, humanitarian organization that supports sustainable development in Afghanistan since 1984 through promoting the ability of local communities to decide upon and manage their own development process. The organization employs around 900 staff of whom 5 are expatriates. Core thematic areas are: Water, Sanitation & Hygiene; Natural Resource Management; Small Scale Enterprise Development; Women’s Empowerment.

- Salary: The DACAAR CRLP Project Based Salary Scale (Grade D) includes government tax and a meal allowance.

- Working time: Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday through Thursday in the summer and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm in the winter.
The Social Organizer will have responsibilities that include:
- Mobilize and engage target communities in accordance with project guidelines.
- Support beneficiary identification, data collection, and community surveys.
- Facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, and training activities.
- Assist communities in preparing development plans and required project documents.
- Coordinate with project teams, local leaders, and community groups to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Support the distribution of project benefits and monitor field activities.
- Help resolve community concerns and promote transparency and accountability.
- Prepare regular progress reports and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirment
- A bachelor's degree is preferred for men and a 14th class degree for women.
- Two years or more of related experience (NSP/CAAP project experience is desirable)
- Fluency in English, Dari, and Pashto both orally and in writing
