Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (RRAA) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political NGO established in 1990. The head office of the organization is located in Kabul, Afghanistan, and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of Livelihood, Good Governance, WASH, and Emergency through its four regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and the central zone in a decentralized manner In 1990 NPO was officially recognized as non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization and registered with Pakistan authorities as an independent NGO. At this stage the position of Norwegian Embassy also changed from supervisory to an advisory role including provision of capacity building at individual and organizational levels. Beside continuation of financial support from Norwegian embassy NPO was able to raise fund from other international organizations like UNHCR, NRC/NCA and CWS. In 1993 the organization decided to shift parts of its activities inside Afghanistan by establishing four regional offices in the north, south, east and west of the country, while the head office of the organization was in Pakistan. In order to take active part in rehabilitation and reconstruction of the country the organization was involved in implementation of projects and program in health, agriculture, income generation, construction or rehabilitation of roads, construction and rehabilitation of irrigation structures and provision of safe and clean drinking water.

Job Summary

• Conducting a door-to-door survey and assessment of the affected population through beneficiary selection form by using KOBO mobile data collection.
• Capable of conducting and doing all types of surveys in different geographic conditions and areas.
• Sharing of the collected data and information with the project manager
• Review and recheck the data and information on the ground.
• Ensure surveying equipment (tablets) is in good working by conducting regular maintenance.
• Frequent travel to project sites, in the targeted districts of Paktika province.
• Controlling and organizing sessions for the distribution of assistance.

The Surveyor and Distribution Officer - ( 2 Vacancies ) will have responsibilities that include:

• Take part in post-distribution monitoring (PDM)
• Regular participation in coordination meetings, and staff meetings held at the provincial or district level.
• Provision of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Maintaining good relations with other authorities and emergency actors
•  Perform any other duty required by the project manager.

Job Requirment

• University degree in agriculture, BBA, Economics, Sociology, and another related field.
• At least 1-2 years’ experience in emergency response programs and related fields preferably in National, international organizations or related public sector
• Familiarity with the local culture and language(s)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy such as Ms Office
• Good knowledge of using of KOBO mobile system
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexible, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable communities
