The Terre des hommes Foundation (Tdh), headquartered in Lausanne with an additional office in Zurich, is Switzerland’s leading organisation dedicated to protecting and promoting children’s rights, with more than 2,000 employees working across the globe. Tdh works alongside children to uphold their rights, safeguard their lives, and contribute to improving their overall well-being. The organisation achieves these goals through innovative programmes in key areas such as health, migration, and access to justice, with a strong focus on creating positive and lasting change. Tdh has been active in Afghanistan since 1995. Since then, the organisation has implemented projects in the areas of child protection, maternal and child health, and livelihood support across Kabul, Balkh, Kunar, and Nangarhar provinces.
