Key responsibilities of Truck/Kamaz Driver:

Key Responsibilities & Operational Duties:

• Vehicle Operation & Cargo Transport: Safely operate Kamaz trucks and heavy-duty transport vehicles to haul goods, specialized equipment, and construction materials (including sand, gravel, and cement) to designated project sites.
• Pre-Trip Inspection & Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, inspecting engine performance, braking systems, tire pressure, fluid levels (oil, coolant, water), and signal lights. Ensure basic vehicle upkeep and cleanliness.
• Cargo Security & Weight Limits: Oversee proper loading procedures, ensure cargo is securely tied down and balanced, and strictly adhere to permissible vehicle weight capacities. Assist with physical loading and unloading when necessary.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Drive responsibly in full compliance with local traffic laws, road safety standards, and AWCC internal safety protocols.
• Logbook Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate driver logs detailing trip mileage, fuel consumption, delivery timelines, and cargo manifests. Report mechanical faults, road delays, or incidents immediately to field supervisors.
• Route Management: Follow pre-approved transit routes to guarantee on-time delivery of cargo to operational sites, fulfilling additional logistics-related tasks as assigned

Job Requirment

Qualifications

• Sufficient literacy (preference given to holders of a Grade 12 certificate).
• 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in one of the local languages ​​(Dari or Pashto).
• Valid and relevant driving license.
• Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations.
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanics is considered an advantage.
• Comprehensive understanding of tools, equipment, and procedures related to the job.
• Physical capability to perform the duties of the role.
• Excellent work ethic.
• Honesty and trustworthiness.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Willingness to travel to other provinces and work extra hours.
